I really enjoy MAC Paint Pots and I am glad I picked another one up as it has rekindled my love for my Bare Study shade too. This is also a great shade to do a less intense smokey eye with as it’s quite a dark base. Sometimes, I will just leave it a t that but, this colour of Paint Pot in particular goes very well with the Nars Dual Intensity eyeshadow that I reviewed in my previous post ( here). These shadows are so easy to apply I just use my ring finger to apply it all over the lid. The silver that runs through it gives the purple different shades in different lights. The website describes it a purple silver. This particular colour is a grey toned purple with a frosted finish. This, of course, could just be my eyelids not co-operating. The consistency is a tiny bit different from other cream shadows that I have tried and the Paint Pots are better bases, in my opinion, than the cheaper ones. I got my first paint pot before all the drugstore versions started to come out and even though there are some good products from the cheaper brands I do think that the Paint Pots are quite unique. I wasn’t completely sure if this was part of the permanent collection but a quick snoop online shows that it is. I own Bare Study from MAC but no other paint pots so, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to add another one to my collection. Here's what I looked like after my M.A.C.I picked this up from a discounted cosmetics store in the states. Chances are, you look fierce, and your tiny little eyeliner blunder is completely unnoticeable.
If you find yourself getting frustrated, take a step back (and take a deep breath) and look at yourself from the distance that most people will see you. You may obsess over a tiny imperfection in your eyeliner when you're this close to an ultrabright, supermagnified mirror. This is another simple and easy tip, but one that will save you a lot of time and anguish. Always take a step back from the mirror and look at yourself from further away. Anything with iridescence would defeat the purpose, so put down that shimmery bronzer.

Do all the eye stuff before you apply blush or lipstick so you don't ruin the makeup you spent 20 minutes working on. You may accidentally smudge some liquid liner on your cheek or you may have to redo your cat eye a few (dozen) times, for instance. It's also pretty much a given that when you do your eye makeup, something bad is bound to happen. This is important because as Di Sarro puts it, your eyebrows "create the mood of the makeup" and form a guideline for your eyes.
